Indeed, you are a troll, an uber troll because as someone recently so eloquently put it, nobody is that dumb, nobody.

well, he hasn't managed a successful build, judging from his own wordsOriginally Posted by Sir Wilson
Actually it was a a very successful build/conversion as the Boss steared things along, being her investment.
The restaurant (albeit small) still provides an income for three families.
Of course, I note that Swilly has never really risen to the challenge of building.
Where to get Burmese workers ? And someone to control them ?
we use a lot of hilltribe fellas, Thaidais or something
you can get Burmese workers en masse on the way to Kamtieng market

300K, really, that would get you about 6X6 M2, Thai style, That got me to a 2 story
post and beam reinforced concrete frame and floors. Steel for the roof frame, but not the roofing sheets . Just shy of 140M2....
Not in any rush to finish, at this point,
almost every thing will be a "project" IE: walls and rendering, electric. water/plumbing, windows, doors, well you get the idea.
good luck with that Mak!
Cha-cha is the word of the day, and my "falang money tree" died, so everyone knows that I have small money, but it comes every month( better alive than dead) *grin*
So far so good, been a few hickups, hay TIT.........Read everything on here and CTH.......ps build story on CTH same nic if ya interested
Mark
Well, of course they do, PP.
They're looking to fcuk over Thais as well.
It's the nature of the game, yes?
It's up to the individual to choose and monitor the said contractor carefully.
I'm trusting that you and others don't play into the warm idea that Farang contractors operating in Thailand [in which there are many] are any less/more dubious and shaddy in practice than their Thai competitors.....
How is it "shady" that a falang manager who charges 50% to 100% of your build cost is a bit "shady" after all for that "fee" he will make sure "somchai" builds to the finest euro standard, does.t water down the concrete, paint, primer, and rust proofs all the steel that cant be seen in the sub-roof, and that no black plastic tape is used for any electrical connection, along with no water leaks before all is rendered over.
You will even get a smile and a proper handshake................
