    Some advise please

I am thinking of building a couple of houses here in Ireland one to sell and one to keep, Property prices are through the roof here right now with a site costing on average of 130,000 quid for a half acre.

I have thesites already but i am looking at options to keep costs down and was wondering on how realistic it would be to fill a container in Thailand with building materials and ship them home.

If anyone has any info it would be a big help to me.

There's no problems shipping them out of Thailand, but, do they reach British Standards?

You would have a more qualified opinion on that DD, for example an oak door here would cost me around 85 quid plus hardware and trim. What would that cost me there?

Are building materials better quality in China?

I would like to get plumbing fittings, doors, windows, trim, roof tiles, floor tiles, wall tiles etc.
