Yes seen clay bricks here reds, yellow but no frog in them(indent for mortar to sit )didnt look a bad brick nearly english standard.
lots of different types of bricks are available, from soft to hard, and different sizes
If you have a car there are several very big brickworks on the Asia highway about 30 min north of ayuthayya.
Lots of different bricks made.
just pick up a few from Ayuthayya, loads of piles of bricks just lying around
Here's what we used. They are 6 X 10 X 21 cm in size and have two 3 cm holes through them. We laid them flat so that the two spaces inside help keep the heat out. Sure made rugged walls laid flat and they are usually set on their side to save money. There are a lot of brick choices and they vary greatly in quality and size so you have to do a bit of searching.

Whereabouts are you TL ? looks a fantastic view mate
^ Not far from me from the looks of things..... I'm in Maejo, Chiang Mai. (Plus I cheated and looked at the info under his avatar!)
Mae Taeng's about 40km due north of Chiang Mai.
Spicy got it right. We are up in Mae Taeng and did luck out on good views. We are only a kilometer off the main highway and we see constant building across the fields so we figure it is only a matter of time until a housing project starts up. For now though we are enjoying it as we finish off the house.
Can't see any rice husks stuck to them so I will go for sun dried.
