    Rubber toughened Super Glue

OK I'll go out on a limb here.

Which shop or chain has the best selection of adhesives. I am looking for some rubber toughened super glue. Like Loctite Super Glue Ultra, Or Gorilla super glue with a blue top or....

Anyone noticed any on their ramblings?

Next stop Chinatown unless there is somewhere nearer.
Better to think inside the pub, than outside the box?
I apologize if any offence was caused. unless it was intended.
You people, you think I know feck nothing; I tell you: I know feck all

Thanks for the suggestion but but I don't do eBay.

On a larger scale or is that smaller scale if the seller is not in Thailand how does that help the local (where I live ) economy.

Araldite epoxy glue is probably your best option. you will find it in any Thai hardware store for around 40- 50 Baht. It comes in two tubes. You need to mix together but it gives a rock solid fix to most things. far better than your superglue.

I always use homepro to get bits like that. All the products are on display so you can look through them properly. I don't remember if they had the exact glue your looking for but they had a whole section of glues and tapes so I'm sure you will find something suitable.

^ Yeah I'm going to wander down tomorrow. If no luck it is off to Chinatown for some Loctite 480.

    Big Fella,

Epoxy is Ok but a bit too permanent. Super glue can be removed by soaking metal parts in nail polish remover.

With respect mate, but l would'nt have Araldite in my work shop, i've used it years ago and it fails. Just to see what it did work on, l set up a number of tests, wood to wood rubber to what ever, you name it and all failed, total rubbish.
Now saying that, Loctite make good stuff, depends on your application, as doe's V 60 silicon ( available in Australia under that name ) not all silicons are the same but that stuff is fantastic.

405 is a cyanoacrylate (super glue). I use for joining oring cord & never had any problems over 20 years

Your nail polish remover is called ( Acetone ) & here in Thailand they mix water in to as you can not see the water.

I use a lot of Acetone & get angry with my supplier when they add water.

I like 'Pattex' epoxy. Comes in 2 tubes, resin & hardner at about 45 Baht from most DIY superstores. Takes 24 hour to cure, but I find that it does the trick.
