La Mut ( no English name that I know, a bit like a tough hairy peach)
Falang ( forgot what it's called in English)
Shompoo ( again don't know the English name, mabye bell apple)
Rose Apple I think. The taste always reminds me of rhubarb.Originally Posted by RandomChances

Nice looking house. Looks like teak to me.
1 million for this is a bargain pending there is no debt attached to the land and everything is in order
Now some views of the inside of the house. The only problem is that it is so dark inside. The windows are all shutters and unless these are wide open then very little light gets inside. One of the first jobs to do would be to get glass frames installed, although a good chippy would be able to convert the existing frames, time for me to revise on my fathers teachings to me.

This is looking towards the stairs going to the turret room. Her husband used to use the room as a personal praying room
A better view of the stairs
Wood ceiling stained and varnished
Looking toward the rear of the house
Finally for this set of photos a view inside one of the bedrooms. I should mention that the master bedroom also has a toilet and shower room. Although I was shown this I forgot to take photos of it.
The final few photos of this.
View into 2nd bathroom, needs a clean up, western toilet.
Views of the kitchen area - methinks stroller might have been involved in the decor
Views taken from boundary post markers
Looking along toward boundary from rear of house
and finally acouple more views of the house
So there it is, I have someone doing a few checks for me, but feel that this is going to be my new place. Asking around has all come up with favourable comments.
Watch this space for more info. However if I do take it I am sure I shall be picking some of our members brains for info.
It looks like a pretty good deal to me from what you have said.

The thais are very 'funny' about houses and people dying in them.
There is a really nice house near the airport in Phrae which has been empty for years. I have always liked it and wondered if it was for sale.
Last week I drove past and it had been demolished.
They couldn't sell it because someone had died in it, so it was pulled down and just the windows, doors and floorboards saved.
Ask if anyone has died there and watch their faces carefully.
I did, although the old womans husband had died, he had not died in the house. Whether this makes a differance I don't know, but there seemed to be no problem with the local people. The woman just wants to return to her province of Phitsanulok or Petchubun as she has no family here.Originally Posted by Thetyim

Prop, are you getting a 30 year lease on this house or just putting everything in her name? Don't wish to say it isn't going to last forever but how long will she supply girls after you have bought the place?
