    Where to buy these materials?

    Piece 1:

    Piece 2:

I thought Hompro would be the place but it was useless. A massive selection of tools and screws n bolts but not one piece of material.

Walked down the main-street of a typical town with its array of tool shops and again it was all tools, door hinges, plumbing pipe, but nothing resembling such materials.

Is there some sort of depot or shop that I'm missing out on? Anyone know where I can buy such stuff in BKK?

    Cheers.

What are you trying to do? Look like brackets, fairly easy to make up by any metal work shop - cheap too.

CM I don't know if in BKK you are anywhere near one of those " village DIY " stores , you know those glory holes you get in the village with everything from the monk's buckets to rotavators , but if you are I am sure you will find all that in there.

I got a load of that gear + screws in the local village store on the last visit to repair the MIL's windows ,, bloody site cheaper than the Homepro brigade to
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs

Cheers. Seems they have stores everywhere except Bangkok.

It's actually to mod the rear of a motorbike I'm working on.

    Turn signal holders:

    License plate:

Will have to try a metal workshop if I happen to pass any.

Thai Watsadu. Biggest DIY suppliers around. Bigger then Home Pro et al used by most of the Thai builders.

Only problem is finding a branch near you.

Click on the link. Its in Thai. In the top red bar, third from the right is a list of branches with maps.

I have never found those type of items to be available here. Normally, they make them themselves. Of course, they won't be zinc plated. You can get fairly thick L shaped aluminum at window supply shops. I have used it to mount turn signals. Lighter too!

Any local machine will make these parts for you for 50 baht. I had some stainless steel brackets made for my motorcycle in a shop near my house. Show them the same photo and they will build you the exact part and cheap. Probably in a hour or less
