    New pool in east pattaya

I have signed a contract to build a new pool. It is free form 7.5x4m, 1.2-1.6 deep, 3 person jacuzzi and salt water....Here is day one they are surveying the ground for bored pilings and my approval....let me know if you want me to continue as maybe the forum has too many pool builds?

I would love to see it. I am going to put a thread on soon about the landscaping of my house after the floods. Bring it on, with initial quote plus what you ended up paying. Best of luck.

I'd like to see this thread continue. I have only seen a couple of pool building threads here previously.

btw, I think the spirits are going to get their feet wet if they don't move.

Yes, I thought the same, my pool was 2 years old when I put the salt/chlorinator in, what a huge difference it made in pool condition and virtually Zero maintenance, only way to go.... Good Luck with the installation...

The shrine cost 1500baht to move. Of course they dont move the shrine they send the invisible people living there to the temple....I have to do the lifting to move it to the other side of my property....

Here is a idea of the finished product....

I am thinking of starting another thread in regards to price. I have quotes from many companies and it may be interesting...

why do you want it in a funny shape?

and having decided on the funny shape, why are they ruining your nice lawn measuring things out?

if you don't like square, why not round or egg shaped; funny shaped are a little bit yesterday

anyway, show us your progress and maybe we will all be laughing by the end
    I have reported your post

why another thread, keep it all together

as for pilings, are you sure your ground needs them? the pool will be heavy but that weight is also spread over the whole base so make sure you are not wasting your money

Free form, does that mean an infinity style whereby the water flows out across the top of the outer walls of the pool into a drain running around it's perimeter and then into another outer tank and if so how much is it costing you?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

no idea, but anywhere along the edge and then make sure the out-spouts are in the best position for the water flow

Don't quite understand that in pool talk Doc but that funny concave shape on the right may well be a trap for debris unless it is an infinity type pool design.

Then again that area might be a Jacuzzi seat with jets which of course will blow any rubbish out into the centre of the pool.

Still reckon my question is fair.

Yep, that's fine mate as you have an overflow coming out of your Jacuzzi as well as jets projecting water out of the Jacuzzi wall.

I am puzzled why they used a theodolite, laser or otherwise to be able to draw a free form shape on the lawn.
At least with free from the skimmer won't get stuck in the corner!

    joking or cheating

As I saw your first pics the professor with the high tech messuring equipment, what did he messure?
I worked as a engeneer for more then 30 years and did a lot of messuring.
Mate they are fooling around with you already before they even started.
marking a free form pool like this is totally impossible.

messuring can only be done in a horizontal line on the same level as the messuring equipment, they should use a leveling stave or when they work with a laser altinator they need a reflector on a adjustable meter scale.
on the pics it seems they are pointing to the small pegg for messuring

I WOULD CERTAINLY NOT LET THEM BUILD MY POOL NOT EVEN A DOG SHELTER.
