Restoration of an old house in Chiang Mai

I just bought a house in Chiang Mai. Sorry, my wife bought a house.
It has not been lived in for the last seven years.
I think the price was right, location, location, location.
We asked for a loan at Government Bank. They kept postponing the answer for more than a month, and even now, we're waiting for the amount they will give the owner.
I paid 30% cash to her and started the work two days ago.
I brought 3 workers from the country and we sleep on the floor!
I've been paying pension for six nephews and nieces for a while, and it jumps to eight this next May. Time to get our own place.
We needed very large rooms to lodge 4 boys and 4 girls.
This has two 9m X 5m bedrooms, 3 baths and two extra smaller bedrooms for us and for the lady who supervises the kids.
    The living room, where they'll do homework is a L shaped 9m X 5m X 9m.
A large terrace on the front second floor, facing North, a smaller one South that will be transformed. A kitchen to be redone, fruit trees, well look at the pictures as it happens.
Lots of work to be done before May, including a Soncran break...

I brought my man, the head of the work force down to have a look after the owner had her things removed.
    Termites were confirmed!
At this point, this is artwork!
The walls will be torn down in my room-office, I see this as a chance! A chance to make it a larger room and to integrate a wardrobe using useless space above the stairs.

It looks to have a lot of potential, and I wish you all the best. It's going to take a ton of work. The termites, however are most worrisome. They can be a bitch to get rid of and, if the house is infested throughout, you could be looking at a near total rebuild. Did you get to keep the books? Might be some old gems in there!

No way! She took all away, she even had to have a special building added to store all this sc... She would not even leave her mother old bicycle behind when my friend asked for it.

I had to leave mid day to go get some tools at the farm up North... and take a hot shower... and a good night in a real bed, I missed the roosters... although I did not hear them, it was raining!
