    they don't

the benefit of building your own place is you get exactly what you want, as opposed to buying a place and needing to refurbish and add and even then, not exactly what you wanted

I have done both and building your own place is a very stressful thing, but also well worth the effort

it is also a creative thing and fulfills like nothing else
not as much as a shag does. in my opinion. lol

I dunno. Sex with a new woman followed by a glass of wine and a joint whilst sitting around an open fire waiting for some cumberland sausages to cook takes a lot of beating.

    Looks Good Marmite.

I would put the 2 bedrooms on either side of a corridor leading to the Master for more peace and quiet with a bit of separation between master and lounge. Having the lounge at the end of the structure gives it more daylight too.

I don't smoke hashish but my cumberland sausage does take a lot of beating on a rainy weekend.

I specifically wanted separation between the kids' rooms and ours. We won't use the living room much as the downstairs communal area will be where the action is at. The upstairs area will be private and most people will not be welcome.

Not necessary. The granny flat can double up for this.

Actually , I'd put the granny flat in another province and the kids rooms on a plot 100 metres away. Expensive but worth the investment.

Actually, the office will be the Wanking Space. I'm not sure the outlaws need to witness things like that.

Did you take him whiskey? I give everyone whiskey, they love it. I get a few bottles of cheap impressive looking scotch to give out in such situations every 15 days on visa runs.

They tried to give us some. I declined as I was driving, but the Midget & FIL had some.

Are you seriously considering having yr MIL living with you? I wouldn't even think about it, mind you she would stink a bit as she's dead for 20 yrs.

Notice how the office is as opposite as you can get to granny flat? Upstairs and as far as possible!

MIL lives with us, and it's great. Might not be so good if she'd been dead for a while though.

Good luck- and hopefully good fun, on the build marmers. Keep a bottle of lao khao handy for when the lads do a good days work.

Having the workers turpsed up turned out fine on this build.
Straight lines are an anathema in nature anyway.

I don't think the local suppliers buy it direct from the foundries in China.
