Roofing Contractor in Khon Kaen?

I'm looking for a recommendation for a roofing contractor in the KK area. I would hope to find one who speaks fair english as I do not speak Thai. It seems to me that if I depend upon my Thai wife (who speaks good english) to give me a good interpeditation, it is not so easily understood by me,...as it is 'the Thai way' I am told, that I don't always understand.

I need a fellow who is going to give me an honest assessment as to whether I need to replace the older tile roof with a newer metal one. I'm am not so convinced that our existing roof is that bad that it can't be PROPERLY repaired by someone who knows what they are doing, and has the proper equipment. He will likely need some tall ladders or a lift as our 2 story townhouse has quite a tall roof.

There are no serious leaks, but I definitely would like to replace the wood trim with the more moderern fiber-cement board. And I would like to seal up the edge openings that allow bats and small birds to get under the edges.

If this roofer so happens to paint as well. I'm looking to get those high surfaces done as well.

I'll take that name and contact under consideration after I still first try to find an english speaker i can talk with about this house contracting work.

My first experience with a Thai contractor was an electrican I was trying to tell that I wanted the whole townhouse grounded to one ground source. What I ended up with thru my wifes interpretation was JUST a groundwire run to the computer receptable and one of the kitchen plugs. The grounding rod I placed out front (under the new tiled driveway) ended up with only the phone line grounded to it. I wasn't getting my message thru,...because the electrican didn't speak any english, and my wife felt she knew the proper way even while I had researhed the Thai system on the forums, and knew something about the basics myself.

^Most of your plugs are probably 2 pin, so most an earth wont make any difference.

As for your roof, it sounds old and leaky, can't go about replacing tiles here and there in the hope of fixing it, roof tiles are cheap here, just replace the lot.

I was willing to replace those receptices that were only 2 pin. And wire up those that have places for the 3 pins, but were just never wired. basically had a master switch upstaires, and one downstaires that needed to be gounded to the outside grounding rod that I had purchased. Then a grounding wire run across the ceiling to most of the recepticles that were mostly located on the onter side of the townhouse. i particularly wanted to avoid ANOTHER wire attached to the exterior of the house that seems so common over here. I want to clean up this wiring nightmare...ha...ha

Not really,...I need to post some pics as soon as I figure out this system. wife says we have a few minor leaks along the edge of roof-wall that is that of the end unit of townhouses. And she complaines that the bats and small birds chip away at the 'cement' filling between the roof tiles and the wooden facier plate. i would like to replace that wooden plate with the fiber-cement ones, and stop the bats from being able to sqeeze between the facier plate and the corner tiles.

Perhaps I could be convinced to replace the roof, but I really don't think that is neccesary. I would need to be sold on this solution by someone who knows what they are talking about...not just someone looking to sell me on the bigger job.

I assume that's where the concrete and roof tiles meet, not really any neat permanent way to fix that, just chip out some of the old concrete and extend it over the tiles with some new concrete, probably last 5 years.

That's a cheap oneday job.
