I've been using chrome for a while, quite happy with it.
Installed it about 6 months ago.
I much prefer FireFox because of the extensions which save so many clicks
I only use Chrome now if a website is in Thai
Opera has a search window next to the url window, but I use chrome also.
I just recently started using Google Chrome also. I quite like it.
I still like Firefox 3 and Safari 5.
Lately I've got 3 browsers going at the same time.
or using gmail.com as it seems that gmail.com is becoming incompatible and acting slow with most browsers, but not ChromeOriginally Posted by Thetyim
I used Chrome for a while but had nothing but trouble with it. I find it sometimes doesn't recognise hotlinks and I have to log in with Firefox to access sites.
Haven't used IE for a long while - too slow.
Firefox is a serious irritation with all the updates, but I still prefer it to the others.
I still haven't updated to Windows 7, but I'm going to do it this week as I'm sick of FF, and IE9 (which is only supported by W7) is supposed to be excellent (several IE bashers that I know have gone back to it).
I hate that FF crashes frequently, uses too much memory and is only semi-compatible with Flash & Javascript.
Chrome isn't good enough yet to be used as a professional tool and IE is still 'clunky'. I did have Opera installed once upon a time. I may check it out again.
I find that I have to use different browsers with different tasks.
Chrome is useful for accessing my email but seems to freeze my FTP software.
FF is good with the FTP but seems to want me spend a lifetime learning what this week's new upgrade does.
... and I have one dear lady who sends files which only open using Safari.
Can't think of anything I would use IE for now but maybe it has improved.
the best thing to do is to keep with FF3 or FF2, small enough and works fast
do not do the daily update, they will fuck up more things than fixing them
and keep the number of add-on to a minimum

The difference even between FF3 and FF3.5 is huge
FF3.5 always fuckup or just take too much RAM after a while, FF2 and FF3 are lean and compatible enough for most well developed websites.
I'm actually having trouble finding a downgrade link to a version of FF before 4 (which I do not like and can't make compatible with my preferred download manager regardless of the add-ons I try)- anybody got it?
try portable apps, they usually have older version and the whole apps is portable
OK, I'll try the last version before 3.5 and see how that fares.
even 3.0 should be good enough, 3.5 was starting to be too bigOriginally Posted by Marmite the Dog
I downloaded a couple of different versions from that link- each of them caused the browser to lock up as soon as I clicked on an add-on- FF4 (which I went back to and it works) really screwed up my computer.
I've just gone back to 3.0.18 and it's works well.
Lost all my passwords though, but not a problem.
*Edit - I've got to manually add Adblock to this one...
I work with 2.0 and 3.0 and never have a problem, as long as it's not a website developed by Indian monkeys or Google
Gmail needs to be run in HTML mode, which is actually better because it has become quite heavy for what was once a nice webmail
you have to be careful, some add-on are not for all versions, or some are for very specific version. FF has become a nightmare on that regard, completely out of control. One of my favorite add-on was never ported for any version after 3.0, that's one of the reason I kept the old versionOriginally Posted by FailSafe
