vixy.net : Online FLV Converter : Download online videos direct to PC / iPod / PSP. It's free! If you find a Youtube vid you like copy and paste the address into this site and it can convert the file online to AVI so you can download it and burn it. Youtube videos are pretty low quality so watching them on anything other than the size of the YouTube player makes them look awful.

Web 2.0 Directory - Ziipa.com a visual search engine - Directory of loads of Web 2.0 apps and guff. This one looks interesting Its available in USA, UK, Australia, Singapore and Japan. It says "any phone anywhere in the world" but as far as I can tell its limited to the countries I mentioned. Free International calls - IMVOCAL IMVocal is a cool tool which gives a phone number to your instant messenger and allows any mobile phone user to dial into it for free and without the need to download anything on his phone. As it mentions, ” Online IMVOCAL users can be reached on their IMs from any phone, anywhere in the world. ” Hence it’s a method to make free international calls to any PC.

This is quite a quirky one Widexplorer: a wider view of the web Enter a few sites into the text field and it opens all the sites in one tab in a long panoramic view. The odd issue with it as its a BETA but a clever idea. Navigation works as normal when youre dead on the selected page but some sites tend to force themselves to open as normal, ie 1 site in 1 tab.

Welcome - Foodista.com Bored of the same old food? Looking for ideas or a recipe? This is like the Wikipedia of food recipes (so they say). Seems like a new-ish site so the idea is to add your own recipes as well as search for them, if youre into that sort of thing.

| Howcast - Cool how-to videos and guides from cutting-edge filmmakers, savvy experts - and you! Loads of How To videos ranging from arts, first aid, langauges, pets, sport, technology and loads more. Nicely categorised and easy to navigate. In the top right of the player theres a "show" button, if youre doing something that requires parts/stuff it lists them when you click the button. Im just watching how to make a metal detector from an FM radio, a calculator, a cd case and some velcro. Im a geek for this sort of stuff. At the bottom of the player there controls so you can skip to a chapter or section so you can load the video from that point rather than the start each time if you go away and need to come back to it. The vids are taking a while to load but that might be to do with the severed cable that happened a few days ago, worth bookmarking. Nice hi def videos as well, none of your blocky youtube crap. | This is another HowTo site Videos on ExpertVillage.com | How to videos, free video clips & more Loads of vids on different subjects, probably more content that the above one but I like Howcasts player better as you can view them in sections or steps. This one has the normal player which runs from start to finish. |

If youve walked between Soi 5 and Soi 7 on Sukhumvit in BKK youve most likely seen the street stalls tended to by deaf people. Ive always wondered what they talk about (probably the same as most Thais, farangs are evil etc.). Ive no idea if sign language is universal, does someone from the UK have the same language as someone whos Thai? Anyway this is American sign language so the probably dont have a sign for the letter "U" • ASL • American Sign Language
