That's the one I use, this is a great utility, might try a more recent version, thanks for the link

because you are burning it with the wrong software, try something different. Burning is not the same as dumping ISO, hopefully you can understand the difference

otherwise buy the original if it's only 300 THB, I wouldn't bother

64 read errors is quite reasonable, I had thousands. You need to get the right software to break all those securities and sometimes some of them don't do as advertised,
Thanks Butterfly, you are correct, I am not sure as to what the difference is between burning the ISO image to a DVD, and "burning". Is it important?
I have Nero 8 and loads of burning software, any suggestions how to rip the protection from the movie and then the best way to burn it back minus the RPC and copyright? It's not the cost, it just pisses me that something here is getting the better of me and would like to solve the problem.

Cheers

I burn all my movies at 4x speed and prefer to put them on a couple of VCDs rather than a DVD. As I've only got a small telly, there's no difference in picture quality and the sound volume is better on the VCDs unless I muck about with the DVD settings of course.

I know what you mean about the volume, some of these copies are terrible, you need the TV on full whack just to hear the audio, and the BUZZ becomes unbearable.
I found the DVD 9 to be a lot better, but copying them is a pain.
Tell me, I create an image on the hard drive (ISO), I then can mount the image (ooh err missus) and read it like a disk, but when I use Nero to try and copy it, it recreates an image of the image...it's a bit of a piss around for nothing!

All I really want to do is rip DVD 9, get rid of all the unnecessary shit, like Swahili subtitles, and compress it a bit to fit on a standard 4.7GB DVD -r...is life meant to be this taxing? A lot of the discs are about 5 GB anyway, not a lot of compression needed, removing some unwanted audio or subtitles should be enough, but the fuckers from Dismal Disney are taking it to a new level! Imagine paying full price for these things and you cannot make a backup..stinks!

Like I said in a previous post it is not the money, it is the fact I have bought this, and I want to back it up, and these fuckers make it so damned difficult..got to be a way around it.

Will perservere.

Tried burning to a dvd r/w, still problems, but I am re thinking dvd rebuilder, maybe, just maybe, something is coming to light!

If I could download something like that I would be over the moon, unfortunately, megaprojects, like land line telephony have not yet made it to the village where I live.
I use a Nokia 3G phone that connects at 460KB/s, but manages about 10KB/S on a good day, there have been times however, when I have roared across the internet at 23KB/s...so not really a choice there unfortunately.

And Imageburn hangs every single time I tried it!

Nero has a preset that takes a DVD 9 and burns it to a DVD 5. Should be a piece of piss.

However, Nero will not copy copyright protected DVD's, so I need to still arse around to try and remove any encryption...will have another look today.
Cheers for the input though.

you seem a bit clumsy with all those tools Missismiggins, like CMN, maybe you will be better off with buying the real copy instead,

all solutions have been given in this thread, and yet you are still going in circle

even in this thread I could pick up the nice utility for cracking the ISO read bugs,

Sounds to me like you are burning dual layer content onto a single layer disk, and are just trying to copy the content, without any efforts to defeat the copy protection.

Use Handbrake.

I got a copy of WALL-E and was able to make a perfect ISO copy with NERO, using that small deCSS utility in the background

couldn't make it DVD5 for some reasons, so I burned the whole ISO into on a nice DL DVD and everything works.

NERO only detected a few errors as it truly skip the read errors. The error bugs are mainly contained in the menu and intros, so not big deal, and it's not even noticeable.
