| The Dog | Online picture editor, resize and tools This is quite a nice online picture editor, you just upload your picture then do what you like with it, crop, resize, add text, add border, rotate, blur, sharpen, it also does batch resizing but isn't very good at getting the sizes down. DrPic.com Free Web Picture Editor and Image Host - Crop, Resize, Text A cropped and resized picture taken from the one below, also lightened up a bit. ![]() If you just want to get the size of a picture down in kb then this online resizer is better but it only resizes, no other toys with it. Resize Images online Lets see what it can do with this picture which is 182kb, nice sunset and all that but a bit too big for web sites. A quick run through the resizer gets it down to 45kb, and thats on medium quality, not a bad saving. ![]() Want to make a quick online banner of 468 by 60, this one is a quick place to learn the basics. FREE ONLINE ANIMATED BANNER AND GREETING GENERATOR - CreatingOnline.com ![]() Want to make a quick button for your blog or whatever, this one is pretty easy. | Picnik I used this for a while when it was beta, lots of features, some of which are subscription but has the basics for free. It can upload from your comp or take almost any pic on the web from Flickr etc or a URL, loads all the images from the URL and you pick which you want to edit.

| Stumbled across this today .: SUMO Paint :. Flash based online photo editor thats very Photoshop-esque. For a browser based app its surprisingly quick on my 1024/512 connection so any higher than that and it should be quite good. Has a lot of tools and the main features of Photoshop, quite impressive. I think its limited to 50 uses then you'll be asked to upgrade to a pay service but I think if you changeyour IP and clear cookies it might work again. |

| Why bother downloading music and movie CDs when you can go to Panthip and listen to DIRTY MOVIE DIRTY MOVIE for an hour? The problem I have with the mentioned sites is my connection is too slow to wait for their downloading. The idea a great though. |

| Believe it or not I actually PAY for most of the software I use. I couldnt justify paying god knows how much for Photoshop so I bought Pixelmator for about £40, free updates for life and does everything I need For most people Photoshop is just plain overkill, they could use a cheaper/free program with the features they will actually use. They end up using Photoshop because its a well known name and everyone says its the best photo editor, which for pro's it is. |
