As to the planet, hopefully not the same one as you As to your expertize in using pc and the wonderfull windows (never have a glitch trust us to have a world wide monopoly), I bow to your greater wisdom and expertize. Apple sell more computers now than any other manufacturer, I never like following the crowd, but then I don't like walking in shoes that cause pain. In my other world macs= less pain.
obviously you never used a mac beyond sending emails and surfing porn,
That's all very good, but that isn't what you said:Apple sell more computers now than any other manufacturer, I never like following the crowd, but then I don't like walking in shoes that cause pain. In my other world macs= less pain.
When did Apple start making Office for Mac then?Since apple make all the programs for macs you don't have the constant conflicts with programs developed by third parties.
Good point. The mac can run the whole Microsoft system (Win7 actually works faster on Mac than PC) Good for games. I over simplified my claim.
I am not tech savi. In the early days we had apple 2cs. Moved to PC when the operating system opened up the flood of new experiences. Reluctantly moved to apple/mac stuff with new job organization. To my horror I like it. It has for me and this (new) school district works much better than the pc school district. Much of the problems develop when you are trying to tie together pc machines from different manufacturers and glitches from 3 party software.
For travel I have a small acer which after boat trips and 3 trips to Thailand last year is still bullet proof. It is for email and photos only, but i didn't buy it to do everything this mac does. So in my small piece of space, experience with Compact Dell Toshiba et al so far after 2 1/2 of a 25 year love hate relationship with the beasts of various breads this little thing works great and is quite clever.
Ok So I prove that my dad was right, Don't talk about stuff you don't know about. I did the Wikki thing and of course Macs use crap loads of micro soft programs.
Power point etc which I often use.
So I have no idea other than for me now this thing works much better than my previous good PCs.
why are people waving irish flags about ,here recently ?
...perhaps to do with Ireland's collapsed "Celtic Tiger" economy.
Rubbish... I mean, I agree that Macs are for those who are "good with colours", but all computers have dodgy hard drives from time to time; there's an old rule of thumb that says that data does not truly exist unless it's backed up in four different places.
Anyone who doesn't back up their data is no better than people who bez about on mopeds in Thailand in flip flops with no helmet on (guilty!).
Japanese hard drives are statistically less likely to fail than American ones, and not for no reason... Japan leads in materials science research in electronics... so it's a bit meaningless to blame the branding surrounding the hard drive.. save for their judgement in being economically nationalist and insisting on American HDs rather than the best HDs.
I'd pay extra for a Macbook pro, having seen them in action recently, but as a long-term self-builder, I would always be open to a good PC rig for the same sort of price.
^
The post you quoted was referring to MotherBoards, not Hard Drives. Motherboard failure on Macs are quite common, can't be replaced like a HD. But then if you're a MacTard you should be buying the latest iProduct every 6 months so it wouldn't matter too much anyway.
Some people think it don't, but it be.
Fair enough... I'm drunk, and syldexic... i've never bought a Mac in my life... =P
You didn't over simplify your claim. You were simply wrong.Good point. The mac can run the whole Microsoft system (Win7 actually works faster on Mac than PC) Good for games. I over simplified my claim.
I've heard some bollocks this week. I was looking at a site for a high end media box last week, and it actually said at the bottom, "We have a number of pre-loved units for sale".
The mind boggles.
