I've just got hold of an add-on for firefox called mediahint
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...on/media-hint/
I'm watching BBC player with it without a VPN ( i found that expat shield went down the pan) running in the back ground.
Enjoy.

Thanks, aw! I've been a Firefox user for quite a few years now and this is great news.
This works just GREAT!
You're welcome guys.

That's good to hear. I used Filmon, but the only issue with that is that you have to watch it live, so here, we're three hours ahead, so prime time shows are on at beddy-bye time.Originally Posted by hazz

I used to like Google Chrome
Not sure if I'm benefiting but I loaded Mediahint extension for SR Iron and I can watch BBC live.
That being said I never really tried before.
I want to try this- I have dloaded the add on for Firefox, now how do I use it? There is no toolbar button or anything
Just go to the site with the shows you want to see and they will play. You don't have to do anything else.
much appreciated. Green inbound.

Go to that link Alwarner showed you,
MediaHint for Chrome Free Download
Click Download
Click External Mirror.
Click "tools" in Chrome
Click "extensions"
Drag and drop the mediahint0.1.12.crt file from your download folder straight into that chrome extension page.
Thats it
WOW! Awesome! As a yank can you lot please list up some links to good streaming sites other than BBC that have streaming documentaries?
You can also use this for Safari:
"It's not possible to modify system proxy settings using current Safari extension API.
However, it's very easy to configure Media Hint proxy manually. Open System Preferences > Network, select your internet connection, click Advanced > Proxies > Automatic Proxy Configuration and paste this URL: https://mediahint.com/default.pac
It's also a good idea to create a new network location and use it just for Media Hint (at the top of Network preference pane click Location > Edit Locations, then duplicate existing or create a new one and name it "Media Hint").
Then you can easily switch between Automatic (for normal browsing) and Media Hint through menu > Location."
^ What about Safari on iphone or ipad ?
I was hoping to get that media hint onto chrome for android, but the mobile version doesnt use extensions

Lots of docs / drama / comedy.
Edit: you need a UK post code, just google "restaurants in london" or something for an address.
There are a few sites that you can watch UK TV without a VPN
UK Channels | 1tvlive.in
Watch UK TV Online | UK TV Channels Online
Some links work,some don't !!!
Also not forgetting the series sites
Watch Series Online Free
Watch Series Online for free, Full episodes - Watch Series
