Old wooden rice barns For new homes...

This Rice Barn is SOLD, All teak 56 years old exactly. Very thick cut wood 6 posts all big in size. The wood is in immaculate condition. The reason for lopsidedness is
Its sank with rain as its not on foundations. There was no rot or damage to post.
The price of this Barn was 120,000 baht based on quality of wood not size. (the posts would have beenhalf that price from a yard.)

One of a kind, unique this bohemith is a treasure unfortunately now SOLD. This was a 16 post Rice barn, yes 16! All teak 80 years old, in immmaculate condition.
It has 2 rooms inside and measures 12 meters long x 6.5 meter wide.
All wood is well cut big in size and there is more wood here then in my house.
    A truly beatiful rice barn.

This is for sale now 10 posts all hardwood. 95% of wood is in good condition with some wall support posts for roof and side boads that need replacing. This is however reflected in the price. A truly amazing rice barn that with some care and attention could be made into something truly awe inspiring. For more details please contact me by PM.

We are only doing this because we have come across so many that need a new home, but they are becoming rarer everyday. This is left in the middle of nowhere, and needs a home now!

Price for barn and all wood material please PM me.

Would make amazing small getaway retreat. prices left out so not deleted by admin.
im hot its so hot today.......milk was a bad choice!

All very good, but how do you go about moving the wood around the country?

Yes. It might be steep to people in the know but i read a continued list of people who dont know and have no idea and want help. It does take time to find these, and what you are actually eluding to is that most people dont want to sell now because they realise the value in them.
From far and wide you can pick up odd barns for good prices, but this is avery good price for the wood.
You have people who use english or thier own countries building company in Thailand because they would rather pay more for that security, but this is just that they simply are not capable of finding native builders that are good.

I would say 200,000 would be steep which is what most are offered for this and you would be surprised some people buy.

We are hoping to offer a service based on experience, sometimes these costs are not for everyone, obviously you 2 wont be buying, mai ben rai!

Transport is paperwork and is person specific, obviously we can work out what canbe done on each persons situation.

    Your opinion is noted,

take down and transport is 20,000 on average. It takes a 6-9 man team half a day to a day depneding on size. Transport is more for local, but these can be taken to south or other. As they are Lanna style most people buy from the north for context.

Rebuild is not expensive we have a builder who can help and is a competant wood builder of luxury houses. Though of course people can use thier own builder.

You see if a man who is 89, is going to sell something he has had for almost 60 years cheaper? I dont think you know this field in chiangmai and also how to deal with Thai people. It is a fair price considering the wood is in mint condition, all teak and very thick cut. This is a nice Rare piece with big wood posts.

Of course you can buy cheaper elsewhere but i dont think as good.

Thank you for checking it out anyway.
