I would like to buy either or both of these items in the next 4 months. I'm in no hurry but would like to pay a reasonable (not unbelieveably cheap) price for both. PM me if you have either and want to sell.

By the way, the flat screen TV doesn't have to be 42" or 50." It will be sued in my studio builing on my secondary land. I brought a devise from the U.S. that allows you to hang a flat screen TV on a wall, so a 25" or 29 inch would do fine. I would consider a larger TV and keep it at my main house and move my 32 inch flat screen phillips over to my other house.
Ever thought of trying a shop?
For your flat screen Big"C" might be a good start maybe even Carrefour. As for the lawn mower how about HomePro or OSH. Would cutting your own grass take a thais job away?
Doubt you will find them second hand. Lotus, or homepro as has been suggested.
Makro has the best deals on plasma / lcd panels most of the time.
i have a 42inch LG plasma that i'm looking to sell for 25K baht.
I have a 4.0 old honda lawn mower that I bought for 5,000 baht from one of those re-sale/pawnshop stores in C.M. I bought it to cut the grass that I put behind my house, to see if I could do it myself (it almost died because I took Marmite's advise and not roll the sod. I won't make that mistake on the rest of the yard). I think that I'll need a second Lawn mower when the entire rai is sodded. The TV, I really don't need (I have 4 at my main house) but if someone is moving and wants to get rid of it, I'll pay them a fair price. I did see a 20 inch flat screen at carrefour but I think that its too small, especially if you are 15 feet away from it (the distance from my bed to where the TV would be hanging).
You obviously only took half of my advice and didn't prepare the ground properly. Som nam naa.Originally Posted by Dean
Buy a new Samsung 27" slim fit. The price is down under 7000 baht already. Hard to beat that!
My children wanted to help out in laying the sod. That was the other half of my problem. If you are still moving to C.M., why don't I pay you to supervise the rest of my job? I'll pay you 10% over Thai wages!!!
Its not that big an area. I used one truckload of good dirt, smoothed the area out and used 7 bags of topsoil from a garden supply shop where needbe. I put a little fertilizer down before putting the sod down. I watered twice a day for 3 weeks. Did I miss anything? By the way, the offer that I made in the above post is still good.
Add three 0s to the offer and you're on.Originally Posted by Dean

I paid 9000 baht for my 27" Samsung 2 years ago!
Probably the strong baht has something to do with these prices
Weak dollar you mean.Originally Posted by Mr Earl
No, hasn't got to do with either of them. The prices are just falling constantly.
the fall in prices is to do with unit manufacturing cost and technological advances
so lots of reasons, I will have to go out and buy some now
wait a minute, maybe they will be cheaper next year
