Audiophile Stereo and speakers for sale !

Downsizing and selling off some stuff I no longer need. Have had this gear nearly 20 years, its great stuff just too big for my current place.

    Located in North Bangkok.

Acurus DIA mkII intergrated amp. This thing is a tank, 100 watts, weighs over 20 kilos, will run on 110 or 220v. Made in USA. Very neutral clean sound.Paid around a $1000 for it back in 1998 I think.

    Here is a review:

    https://www.stereophile.com/integrat...rus/index.html

    17,000 baht or best offer.

    Paradigm Monitor 7 speakers.

Excellent used shape, have seen little use over last 20 years having been in and out of storage. I had the original boxes until few months ago when some of the help at my company tossed them (sigh).

Really nice speakers, I mostly listen to jazz and blues, they do everything really nice, really good sound for the money...made back when Paradigm still built this stuff in Canada.

    12,000 baht or offer.

    Nice looking speakers.

I know some of these audiophile amps come with no bass or treble controls but never could understand why punters would realistically not want to have even those minimal controls.

Think the idea is, if the amp etc is high enough quality then you shouldn't need them, and that most people make the sound worse by fucking about with such.

Quality products have been and still are available from Japanese and Russian suppliers. Once in a lifetime purchase. Some now with Chinese vacuum tubes.

Maybe some are Pre-amps, with controls. Coupled with seperate power amps.

    ^that acurus looks like integrated

^^I get the rationale in theory but pretty likely that in reality you might need some adjustment depending on characteristics of the speakers/acoustics of the room/floor structure/media quality/component input characteristics etc.

needs to be recycled, complete waste of hardware, unless you collect junk from the 90s

maybe some gold weight inside, like 300g

The vacuum ones do weigh in at a good number of Kg.

A useful way to export the golden stuff from China. Very delicate and cannot be inspected easily.
