Observation went fine and got some nice feedback and useful suggestions. Looking forward to post observation pizza already
First snow is here in UB tonight and I am enjoying being in a toasty warm apartment- have not seen snow in 8 years, so kinda looking forward to it!
What are your medical cover/facilities like, any private hospitals or just government ones?
It was because of your thread, I watched this short documentary.
I was surprised to say the least.
Winter is coming ... be prepared.
In Mongolia’s capital, people are literally dying to breathe.

Camel etiquette, while a pretty youngster is ok for one hump, going steady one who speaks English and spits porridge, it's a fairly trad society so stick to females let the attractive males Go BI
Can you buy a really good particulate mask there, especially for when you go outside ?
That isn't a cold fog by the way,it's smog.
and what looks like a heavy layer of frost rather than snow??
I think the heavy snow is foretasted for the afternoon,AO. Then bizarrely it is going to get warm over the weekend.
Got called a mother fucker by a 7 year old today. Always a first! I asked the little chap to open his book, some response!
@David48 - thanks for that video link. I watched it - very enlightening. Gives me (or us, the ppl who watch it) an idea of how bad the air pollution situation is in UB, and what Mandy is experiencing now. I won't take the clean air that I breathe for granted.
@Mandy - good luck re: your job & the city you're in. I'm afraid the AQI will get worse as it gets colder - more coal burning stoves. Protect your eyes too with those laboratory glasses. Re: the eyebrows & gaydar - hmm...no comment.
I guess we are skipping Autumn this year

An enjoyable experience for some others here on TD, I hear.
Possibly the Mongolian use of the English word, "warm", means something different than The Oxford Dictionary definition.
Is there a school published list of unacceptable English phrases one can point to, along with the school accepted disciplinary action?
^Similar to the Canadian western prairie provinces. Spring is a two week mud slide, Autumn is a two week cutting logs for the winter. Nothing else to do, it's nature at it's best. Still it kills all the mosquitoes.

A tray full of GOLD is not worth a moment in time.
The lack of discipline and consequences is the schools biggest issue, and it can make the job pretty thankless some days. Interestingly, I am now also teaching a kindergarten class and when it comes to behavior I found it to be night and day- an actual pleasure to teach such polite, energetic and inquisitive kids. Did note that they seem to be an a stricter regime than primary and have more free play time- makes such a difference. As far as I can tell, there is no timetabled slot for recess in grades above kindy, so it is little wonder that they are poorly behaved when they have no time to burn of energy and learn social skills through play.
Back to the winter issues- a zuud is a possible- last year it was mid October until there was snow. This is a zuud
