    Wat Paknam Narita, Japan

Random photos from trip to Wat Paknam in Narita, Japan this past January 2015. Sorry for the low quality photos.:

About a half hour drive from Narita Airport and there is no train station within walking distance.

    Nice photos, thanks.

I always enjoy Japan threads having lived there once upon a time. Never been to Wat Paknam though.

I've never understood the fascination with looking at Thai temples. Aside from one or two, they're almost always aesthetically uninspiring- and guaranteed to make a proper racket at a ridiculously early hour.

Fuck knows why backpackers go mad for 'em.

    ;-)

When you've seen and heard thousands of 'em, once a year is enough.

Dhamakaya is just a money making concern, avoid like the plague, has it's leader been sentenced yet?

Went there about 3 years ago - also in the middle of winter. The driver 'knew' the way, and then got lost. They had satnav but didn't know how to use it - eventually I told them to put the telephone number into the system and it appeared on the screen.
2km from the temple we stopped at a set of traffic lights - straight on and 2nd left it said. Ah, I know from here the driver's wife said, turn right ... we got back there about 30 min later ...
