Chiang Mai hospital for back operation ?

    Hi,

A friend of mine in Australia needs to have a back operation (to repair damaged discs I think) and has been told to get it done "quick" could cost him his home and if he waits to get it done in a public hospital he could wait for 5 years. Can anyone recommend a good hospital in Chiang Mai that does back ops ? He may fly over and see if he can get it done in Chiang Mai. Mickmac

Not in Chiang Mai but in Phuket, I used Bangkok Hospital for severe herniated disks. I was told that I needed surgery but the specialist sent me for 8 sessions of physiotherapy first. When I was checked after the physio, the disk had corrected itself. My L5 S1 was severely herniated and my L4 L5 was just starting to herniate.

I have only great things to say about Bangkok Hospital. I can highly recommend them for your friend.
