    nice pics, quite similar to the river up at Mae Teng

    I have seen small fish caught there but I don't know if there are any biggies

    Do you mean Mae Taeng north of Chiang Mai DrAndy? We have tried fishing on the wonder float from East of Mae Taeng to the Mae Taeng agricultural weir, and have only caught a few small catfish.

    Floating the river Ping east of Mae Taeng,




    Video taken during the trip Mr Forbes caught that Mahseer pictured. Landing one that size on a 6 or 7 wt fly rod is an difficult task, small Mahseer in the 2-3 kilo range have straightened hooks for me!

    Though today I heard reports that 4 meter Python' ply the river, with ones seen as large as 10 meters!!
