You don't have to buy a satellite, they're very expensive, and anyway how would you get it into space?

    go to chinatown.
they sell the cracked decoders for about 1700bt
run a feed into the nearest box to your house and you have the platinum package

OK, so you want satellite TV, but you're not allowed it?

I suggest you move house again, but this time actually think about your needs before signing on the doted line.

Just use torrents and download all your favourite TV shows. Buy a media box, or link your computer up to the tv.

Nearly all of the packages available in Thailand show out-dated shows and repeat after repeat.

The only reason I keep any kind of TV subscription here is for the football. If I wasn't impatient I could download the games and watch them the following day via torrents too.

^which torrents sites do you think would be the best for a novice, who has just moved up to streaming TV? I have tried torrent day but it sure is not very user friendly.

The easiest torrent site I find by far is thepiratebay.org

    A few tips AO.

When searching for your torrent make sure the torrent you choose to download has been uploaded by someone with either a pink or green skull next to their name. That way you know that they are trusted and its a real file.

Once you have typed in the name of what you want to download you will normally get quite a few hits. If you look at the top right hand corner of the screen you will see SE and LE (SE = seeds LE = leechers) You want to have a high number of seeds so if you click on the SE letters it will arrange the results with the highest/fastest torrents at the top.

Use a program called utorrent to process your torrents. Free to download and simple to use.

Any more questions just let me know

Not to mention the silly censorship. Last time Schindler's List ws on True, they blurred the picture every time he had a cigarette. Just plain silly and annoying.

Despite my nasty comment about True, the price for this is certainly right. I'd appreciate more specific info what ever way you want, by posting a reply or by PM

    Thanks.

Thanks sat, I will check in to it as soon as I can. Swamped at work, and a vicious head and chest cold. First time I have been ill in years.

Haahaaa... and Schindler was a chain smoker ... how much is left to view??? Good tip there Satonic.

Robbo, since U R able to internet, a high browsing speed makes all the difference so secure that first & foremost otherwise the streaming will become horrendous eventually let alone enjoy a decent watch on any Sports or movies.

Yes, Thai's cultural media does appear odd for Westerners as well as being "antique"... its not a place really to be highly entertained on the Hollywood screen genre I'm afraid.

I have ONLINE TV on your PC installed and its a good source to reach out on other countries around the globe... check it out.

Out of interest, so what if it's a rented house? What's to stop you installing a satellite dish and decoder?

Usually its due to "contract rules & arrangements" as agreed & signed. Like someone mentioned earlier, find another lease plan that comes with a place... but then again, choices in places like BKK are awfully shitty to be choosy.

Not unless one is out in the open fields, that'll be super without question.

in short i could put a satellite dish in, but have been quoted some large figures and being a 12 month lease on a rented house is my situation presently i dont see the value in spending a large amount installing a dish and decoder box.

    Bob.

Cracked decoders are available for satellite dishes and cable.
For cable they're cheaper than dish (1700bt to 4000bt although they now offer free internet forever with the cracked dish decoders) if you sign up for a cheap package and cancel this is the simplest way. they will install the box/and dish if you choose that route. once you cancel they will not remove the feed. Simply replace original box with cracked one. There is signal running to every house once installed. they only set the box not to decode once you cancel. with the cracked decoder it simply de-scrambles the code so you can view

That's one of the least spammy sites I know. When you open the home page it lists what's recently uploaded. When you click on "Show List" it lists everything alphabetically.

Makes sure you lick the leftmost link for each episode, otherwise it will open them in pop-ups.

What's a large amount? And by the way, when you move you can take the equipment with you if you're staying in the same area. And that isn't expensive to do.
