Best Breakfast in Chiang Mai?

The Britannia on Soi 9 in Chiang Mai used to do a pretty mean full English , not cheap but definitely the full Monty ...
In the UK one of the finest breakfasts i've ever had was in Petes Eats in Llanberris Snowdonia .
On the Road Bobs Cafe on the A45 heading towards the M1 was a fantastic place not only for the all day Breakfast , but for the traditional English faves like Sausage Liver and Mash.. Pies, Gammon and Chips . Fish and Chips . Stew and Dumplings ...
The list could go on and on ..
We all have our faves , but in my mind you can't beat good English stodge ...
Even something as simple as Curry sauce and chips is a winner in my books , even more so after six or seven pints of Bass ..

Mad Dog's (moon meuang near soi 2) is the place if you want a cheap, greasy, plentiful breakfast.

If you can hold off til lunch time, the Holiday Inn on Chinag Mai / Lamphun road has justed started a daily 'Business man's Lunch Buffet', 200 THB and excellent value with a nice range of decent quality farang and Thai food.

The White Lotus (round the corner from Guitarman), still does a decent breakfast, and she makes the bacon gob gob which is the way it should be.

I like Smoothie Blues

On the way to work in the morning I like to stop at Rim Ping near the airport for some freshly made pretzels and a blueberry muffin or a warm buttered scone, with a cup of Thom's coffee. If I have time I like to stop at Bake 'n' Bite or Art Cafe for Eggs Benedict and a mixed-fruit smoothie.

Butter is Better on Chang Klan were doing great eggs benedict, then they stopped doing them all of the sudden. That's not a bad breakfast joint either...

This was the first place that sprang to mind when I read this thread. Really great breakfasts.

And the strawberry smoothies (when in season) were beautiful!!!

Also, what is the name of the little English bar just down the soi to the right of John's Bar as you look at it? They did a very big English breakfast.

Haven't been to the Queen Victoria in a few years but they used to do up a sensational English style breakfast. Anyone know if they are still up and running?

I'll second the Sunday "hold off" until the Holiday Inn opens at 11:30. We were just there yesterday and the lobster, salmon, crab, and quiche alone was worth the price of admission.

^ That Sunday one is more expensive, about 600 I think, but well worth it.

They just last month started with the daily 200 THB lunch, not as flash (no shell sea food on tap) but well worth a try.
