Yeah. If it'd been that other smartarse doctor, bob, he'd have pointed out that ingenuous means the opposite of what setaputra thinks it does.

    in·gen·u·ous ( n-j n y - s). adj. 1. Lacking in cunning, guile, or worldliness; artless. 2. Openly straightforward or frank; candid.
    perhaps he meant "ingenious"?

I doubt if she sees any conflict between Citylife, a quality magazine which also presents news and ThaiVisa a forum which doesn't.

It's easy to change your name in thailand. Costs only 60 baht.

And yes I missed the dis.

Perhaps I am missing something. Given her relationship with them, why on earth would she do that?

    Ignoring the banter about Andy wanting to be called Bob or anything else or the emergence of grammar nazis ;

Pim can often make very strong points, in Citylife and elsewhere; but it is easy to see her bias. Best example was her interview with the former mayor.

There was a reason why she made the comment on Thaivisa the way she did but only she knows what that reason was. Posters rightly got suspicious.

Drandy has at least told us what he believes actually happened. TV is getting a little odd in its censorship policies.

I seem to remember Sizzlers (or some similar company) doing that before, but they hadn't counted on the fact that the western population were hell bent on making the most of it.

I can't see it lasting long unless the draught 'beer' in question is Chang.

Welcome to the Lavender Lanna Hotel in Chiang Mai, Thailand. We are a specialty boutique gay hotel
Can't really see the kind of western customer they're expecting to be fat-necking gallons of Chang. A pina colada, perhaps....

Funny you should say that but drcandy does come across as a penis unloda cocktail type. Perchance is there something wrong with the lavender hotel? I haven't been there but he raves about it.

yes, true, I thought it would suit you, esp with your cute ass

did you read the dress code?

I assume that new venue is merely the old Simons cabaret crowd, as Simons has vanished

as for good pubs, The Queen Victoria is now a little more salubrious with newish owners and fair food, for Brits
    I have reported your post

as for Pina Coladas, they can be good if made with fresh ingredients. although I haven't been offered one in years

    ^ Do you mean John's place ?

Anyway it's one of the worst place in Chiang Mai. Nothing interesting there and expensive even if they have only ugly waitresses.

A bar is generally only as good as the company you keep. When I went there with Frisky and Little Chuchok we had a lovely time.

I'm off out with Peterpan & Norton tonight, so I fear the bars in Udon are going to smell of stale urine and old people's breath.

I agree, but the waitresses are really frightening, and you have to wait at least 10 min to get a beer even if there is 4 or more people working behind the counter and at least 2 sitting on the bar stools in the front, a shame. And in the daytime, never been there in the evening.

I think LC was doing one of them at the time. That was 3 or 4 years ago though.

....string of bars between Chang Puak and Tescos (original post from 9999)
Where are these? On the superhighway?
Also - has anyone tried the bars in Prasertland (behind Nimmanheimin)?
There's a lot of night places in Chiangmailand too. Any recommendations?

JJ markets is now what I know this string of bars to be. Good fun but tough crowd, need at least a little Thai and a bit of 'style' to join in with a table of hotties

Not sure where you mean behind Nimmen, but just seen that massive new joint has opened on canal road close to tawang daeng. There's quite a few decent Thai falang friendly restauraunt / bars along that area of canal road.

    Where is Chiangmailand?
