    The Mushrooms are Back!

Thorb mushrooms, the mushrooms that is often associated with forest fires, are now appearing in markets across Chiang Mai after the recent rainstorms gave life back to the drying province.

Vendors of Ui Tha Market, in Lamphun brought tons and tons of mushrooms to sell after the recent rain. This delicacy that booms this time of year is now on sale for around 120 – 250 baht per litre.

Closer to B400 - B500 / Kg in Sakon area at the start of the season (now) ...drops to around B250 later in the season.

Difficult to find (under the soil) and not so common as in Chiang Mai region
