    Doi Suthep in flames.

just got a message from my neighbor up there.

Probably not much news to people who are there.

But Doi Suthep is on fire.

Started by a few hunters, so I believe, trying to catch animals.

I heard that the army and firemen were dousing around the temple/shrine just past the Zoo at the base of the road up.

Close enough that I just doubled checked the insurance policy.

Covered for 'Fire lit by fokwit Somchai.'

Thankfully my homes far enough away not to be in an danger but best give the family a call.

A testament of how dry it's been up there, of late.

    Tragic.

Do you live in the maung district? I'm out in Mae Jo and can't smell smoke. Now the mountain is covered with dense smoke and I can't see anything up there.

Looked this morning before sunrise and didn't see any glow so perhaps the flames are under control.

Extremes of heat in Thailand ,,,,,,,, only to get worse in the future apparently ,,,, coupled with the ever increasing problems of water shortage
