    CM Weather is Mighty Invigorating

Some people here have asked what it is like in Chiang Mai, and whether or not they should retire here. I always tell them it is great and yes do retire to CM.

Also, when choosing a place to retire, do not underestimate the importance of the climate and the weather.

In the case of Chiang Mai, it is usually dry. Some here will complain, overly I think, about the smoke problem. Coming from China, I don't see the smoke as much of an issue.

The thing that I love is that I often feel invigorated by the dry crisp air, almost like mountain air. You might not notice it if you come from Denver, but I noticed it very much because I was coming from a place with high humidity 95% of the year it was 95% humidity. No joke, and I can prove it.

Tonight, just moment ago, I went to Seven to buy a ton of candy. On the way I just kept breathing in this delicious air.

Truly, anyone here will tell you, we are so lucky to have invigorating air.

Even when it rains it is invigorating.

    So....

Do you feel invigorated this evening on account of the Chiang Mai air?

I think most of the locals can not answer, because their teeth are chattering.

Yes, it was cold last night, for Chiang Mai.
    But, Invigorating none the less.

Again, late this evening, and early morning, it is plenty invigorating.

Will this cold weather at night ever let up?

Today is so cool, dry and invigorating that I think I will just have two KaiDao instead of one, and one shower instead of two!

Right now, the air is much colder, and colder air is denser, and denser air transmits sound much better than warm air.

So here I am sitting here listening to the planes at at least twice the normal volume, and I am north west of the rotation point, and these big birds are now thundering overhead.

The direction of takeoff has shifted by 180 degrees, so now I am getting the thunder.

Pounding, pounding, booming, screaming, upward thrusting, wham wham, whir, goes the plane as it claws its way, every inch of its way, MORE, MORE, it screams, and then it is gone as quickly as it came, into the night, bound for who knows where, leaving us wishing we were aboard feeling up the coffee arrival after takeoff.
