Some people here have asked what it is like in Chiang Mai, and whether or not they should retire here. I always tell them it is great and yes do retire to CM.
Also, when choosing a place to retire, do not underestimate the importance of the climate and the weather.
In the case of Chiang Mai, it is usually dry. Some here will complain, overly I think, about the smoke problem. Coming from China, I don't see the smoke as much of an issue.
The thing that I love is that I often feel invigorated by the dry crisp air, almost like mountain air. You might not notice it if you come from Denver, but I noticed it very much because I was coming from a place with high humidity 95% of the year it was 95% humidity. No joke, and I can prove it.
Tonight, just moment ago, I went to Seven to buy a ton of candy. On the way I just kept breathing in this delicious air.
Truly, anyone here will tell you, we are so lucky to have invigorating air.
Even when it rains it is invigorating.
So....
Do you feel invigorated this evening on account of the Chiang Mai air?
