    ^ I've done it in a couple of different banks in Cha-am. Then again, I always ask for a withdrawal in excess of 40,000.
    Maybe if I was asking for 10-20,000, they might say the same?

    my US bank reimburse all ATM fees, so you get the best rate and no ATM fees
    Would you tell which bank that is, I'd like to see about opening an account there.

    I think you missed the point.

    This has nothing to do with the fact that both the Thai bank, your bank and Visa/Mastercard are charging you for the privilege.

    This is Thailand adding their own special Farang rip off in a style that only they can muster.



    No don't think it is just a Thai thing...was in Canada two months ago and used my Aussie Visa for cash..the message came up, as here..you will be charged etc by local Bank ATM.
    AND of course my bill showed the 2 additional commissions from NAB.....fricking banks!
