Trade 2nd hand shops or auctions in Chiang Mai?

I'm looking for Trade 2nd hand shops or an auction in the CM area..... specifically ex hotel furniture and/or catering s/steel equipment.
Any advice/info appreciated, Kevin John Barker fans, keep it clean!
    Thanks.

I have absolutely no idea what you are trying to say. I'm new to Chiang Mai (1 month in residence) and I am currently stuck in Cairo with extremely poor internet service: one of the few sites I can access is Teak Door. I thought I would ask a simple question of a forum that has in the past proved extremely helpful. Do you have anything positive to say in the way of helping me?

Go down to Khan Ali-Kalili (Thieves market) in Cairo if you have nothing to do and buy whatever you need and bring back as excess baggage

Used to be several antique shops near the North Gate as well numerous used shops along the soi leading out of the North Gate to the left. Can't remember the name of the soi, but it has a shop that plays C & W tapes all day long that sells herbal stuff.

Inside the Walled city there are several soi's and alleys that have antiques as well as used stuff. Mostly fabrics, wood furniture, metal ornaments and hand tools. some quality jewlrey can be found as well as old weaving's and baskets.

It will require foot travel for the most part. I never found a market as such in Chiang Mai for 2nd hand stuff or hock shops. Doesn't mean they don't exist, just I never found them.

Outside town there are many manufactured goods and makers of just about anything from umbrellas to rose wood furniture. Many manufacturers have stand alone shops along different major roadways so you must keep your eyes alert for these shops.

I like to watch the workers make these goods. Always instructive and they like to share their abilities. Pottery, wood engravers, Batic design, etc.

Just happened to walk past a shop that has a display of second hand stainless steel cookers, cupboards and large fridges (not domestic ones). No English language signs or anything. Looks like ex-restaurant kitchen stock. Head east out of the city from the railway station on Charoen Muang Road. It's less than a kilometer from the station, on the right hand (south) side. If you reach the intersection with the ring road, you've passed it.

only if you are going west, the shop would still be on the south side of the road

Dunno. I was on my way to the dentist, so second hand ladies we're far from my mind. Sexy dental assistants were to the fore, I will concede.

[pedant] Actually, it doesn't matter which direction you are going, the shop is always on the south side. But it's only on the right side if you are going east. [/pedant]

"Going south," has many different meanings depending on you're associations? Dental assistants, really! Nice, I like that uni almost as much as school girl black and white.
