    CM in June / July?

Due to medical reasons I only have a window of opportunity to visit Chaing Mai in June or July of this year. What I need to know is just how bad is the smog / humidity / high temperatures / rain during this period so i'll know if it is worth making the trip.

Many thanks in anticipation for replies.

The smog will be long gone by June. The hot summer temperature is going down, too. We get a little more rain by July, but still rather dry.

Smog and humidity won't be a problem, but it's still HOT!

I like Changmai at that time of the year.
Something really basic and exciting to watch the monsoon rain!

Clean air, too, as you say.

I like Chiang Mai that time of year also. No tourists makes it very Thai. Lots of nice sweet fruit.

A lot more Chinese tourists are visiting Chiangmai presently.
Guest numbers have not dropped to the low levels we used to experience, rooms are not all booked out, but nearly 60% up on last year's low season figures.

Songkran is booked out completely! Mainly Thais.
