Are their thailand maps? Preferable regional thailand not just bangkok and preferable free

    Thanks.

The only free one is the carppy world map that may come with your Garmin. There are good Thailand maps ERSI etc but they are expensive,

    Thanks PP.

What is expensive? 3,000 baht or 30,000 baht?

Would the world one you mention be good enough to get me out of bangkok down to rayong and up to korat etc?

    Only few years now

it is 2 to 4 years max that GPS are allowed over here, it was military stuff before...

Had a friend coming with one garmin and he was making his own map, gong to a point and then put in memory, he gave directions leo sai leo kwa to tuk tuk following his marks...

It is now available in the cars and i heard Bangkok is covered, i bougth :

Smart Map Road Guide / Real solution for mobile computing devices :: C&N Solution Co.,Ltd. in 2004, what a crap it was !

this was made for the pocket pc...

May be they improved, i hope for them cause it was just impossible to use, worse security system then a certain austrian fotograph and you had to spend hours on fone with them to guide you through next step...

It was couple of thousand bahts...

i'll have to look at it again see how it is now...

Asking some people with a new luxury car is my next step in this, asit must be equipped with best available actually...

MM to find your way up to korat, go aiport DON MUANG,not SVNB, straigth to SARABURI, you'r half way ! take a left for the other half way, the road is fine now... One alternative to the GPS to find your way up here is to hire the Police escort, around 10 K full speed, VIP service and they know the way

Thanks again for the replies even if it doesnt look promising.

The police escort sounds like fun though!

I probebly should have explained a little better though as I can find my way around Thailand ok getting from major town to major town its just around those few towns is some more excact spots that I need to get to.
News is what someone, somewhere is trying to suppress - everything else is just advertising.

looks like they are out of maping now, good news, they do games and dictionnary...

    The mapping is now:

    www.mappointasia.com

But not yet checked what and how good it is...

The C320 is great but at 31,000 Baht?? you can buy it in the US for as low as 11,000 Baht. I expect to pay a bit more but 31,000 is taking the piss surely.

Bring 2 over , I'll give you the thai map and buy the other from you.

If you can get one with UK/European maps even better.

Bought it about two years ago when it first came out. I believe the retail price in the states was $750 at the time.

Seriously if anybody can buy them at B11,000 buy two , I'll buy one from u and supply the thai map.

edit Needs to come with the winscreen suction cup mounting.
