DirtyDog hated thread bumpers. They would quickly find that they would get a PM from him telling them to knock it off or wind up in the clink.

I have thousands of posts on another Thailand forum, and I have never heard of the thing "bumping", I only made my first posts yesterday, and have no wish to offend anyone, but I will not tolerate nastiness from any poster, or members of the 'keyboard warriors brigade".

Not meaning to prolong this thread but have stayed at the pen one a few times when cycling through. It's an 'ok' place to stay, cheap and near to lots of eats of an evening.
Opinions may differ.

Welcome irishdhoy and as Klongmaster was a good friend of mine even before I joined Teakdoor I appreciate the fact you have kept his legacy going.

A very nice chap and I still miss his friendship.

Yeah! With all due respect to AO, I dont think this is a typical thread bump. Take into account he probably didnt look closely @ the date of the last post. Being a total newbie first poster.

I must admit I had not seen the thread before & I have a slight interest in learning something about the city as it was where my cute 7 y/old granddaughter came into the world. Thanks for that Irishbhoy (shouldnt that be Celtic Bhoy taking into account your antecedents?).

IB, you will encounter some pricks on this board. But there are some good 'uns too. Rough with the smooth, like.

I am actually Scottish but a bit ashamed to admit it, all my admiration goes to the Irish, they fought and died for their independence, while the Scots have not even the gumption to put a cross on a piece of paper.
Welcome to the forum but one thing. Never be ashamed to be Scottish. I was as gutted as you but our time will come 2014 just wasnt it. By the way one of the leaders of the Irish Rising was from Edinburgh
