BLD there'll be options you just need to take a moment and think em through and weigh em against your priorities re the Family. I'm there too, the options don't get wider as you get older but your experience does and that's your focus. In the meantime have one for me.

Is there no opportunity to 're-present'?

Explain that you had just completed an international flight.

Then go off and practice the drills the Physio put you through.

As for the pain, there are some amazing opioid based medication which I discovered recently from a Hospital visit.

A good Miner/GeoTec never gives up.

Australia, assuming you can get employment was, and still is a great choice.

    IMHO

    Hi BLD.

Were you not aware of the physical tests or is this something new?

Surely they should allow you at least a second chance?

Sorry to learn your aussie relocation is not going ahead as it would have been great for your kids.

    Don't give up so soon.

    Wax on, wax off mate.

Failing their silly test is just a speed bump. You are bright enough to move on. Big world full of good jobs in decent locations. My youngest brother worked his entire life in mining industry in Canada. Retired now but made big bucks while working. Suggest you look into job in Canada.
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.

Unfortunately they test for opiates. I passed that one. It was the "planking that fucked me.
