Animal cruelty again. One to avoid

    FriskoDude: Tiger Temple Negative Report

Seems the good old monks aren't as good as they make out.

^ Agreed Hootad. The only thing I find surprising about that report is how many people visit & support the 'sanctuary'. I would have thought anyone with half a brain would realise that there is something deeply suspect about any place where huge predators like tigers are docile enough to be photographed with their head in a human's lap. Just how is the predator instinct removed? (I can't think of a pleasant way that it could be removed for dealings with all humans, although love could make a tiger OK with perhaps one particular human)

However, I don't think the report will make any difference. Tourists will still flock there, as most people just want the photo & the story to tell, they don't care about the tigers themselves. Same as all the idiots that get their photos taken with lizards/snakes/sea eagles/monkeys in beer bars here - why should they care about the animal? They got a good photo

Would be interesting to read the monkeys' response, and also some confirmation or denial that there is so much untraceable cash being donated by dumbass farangs that most of the monks ranked higher than novice have already buried their first million.

A tourist trap. And nobody wants to tell monks what to do either.
