unfortunately i tend to agree with terry57.
i have been known to hand out a few punishments myself, 15 years as a door thug around Australia gave me ample opportunity.
and have been both a winner and a loser in these sort of situations, i firmly believe that if you break the law or simply do wrong to another person by choice then you must face their wrath, wether it is an abusive tongue lashing or physical violence depends upon the wronged person themselves and the severity the offence.
if i caught somebody stealing my bike, they would suffer the consequences !
probably not being shot in the spine, but the would certainly remember the experience.
it is natural to protect what is yours.
all animals will protect their young or their mate, so why not their fino ?

Normally I wouldn't agree to death for a petty crime.

However, the crime may be petty, but the effect on the community if this becomes prevalent is astronomical.

Sad for him but sends a message that will be heeded.

So what you guys are advocating is an old Wild West style law system where horse thieves are hung for their crime. I can see the logic in that back in the day when a man could be left dead in the water if his steed was stolen from him, but times have moved on and nobody was going to starve to death because a moped was nicked, indeed no one was even in any physical danger. It's this kind of overreactive attitude to crime and acceptable punishment that will continue to keep Thailand 150 years behind the rest of the civilised world.
    It wasn't me!

And in America if someone breaks into your house one is legally allowed to punch a cap in his arse.

    I really love that law.

In stupid Australia the Filth are dragged over the coals if they draw their gun.

Anyway, Thailand is the wild west and Thieves risk their life if caught stealing shit.
    everyone knows that.

The cop won't be to concerned either which is another great part of living in Thailand.

Looks like he's gonna spend the rest of his life on a 2-wheeler. That's a bit sad actually, thief of not.

More likely a four-wheeler (two little wheels at the front).

    Fuck him.

I have to agree with Betty and the 2 Scousers

Nobody deserves to die or be paralysed for attempting to nick a bike or some hubcaps

When they're halfway down the street with the goods then yes it's fair game

I think so. I remember a few years back watching the news. There was a family who's Rottweiler mauled to death a burglar. Fair enough, was the response of the Police, nothing to see here..

Back to the OP video. My misses reckons the shooter was a Farang, If so it will be interesting to see how this pans out, especially seeing as it seems to be standard that property owners can Kill if necessary, intruders on their land.

Are we ready to see the justification of Farangs killing thais?
