| Central Thailand and Bangkok Forum The Central Plains of Thailand are dominated by Bangkok, with its multitudes of Temples, Museums, the Grand Palace, and slowly moving North towards Ayutthaya the ancient Capital of Siam, and onto Lop Buri which is famous for its monkeys, and Sukhothai with its ancient Temples and Wats. |

| Notwithstanding the absence of a bath, I always recommend the Honey Hotel Soi 19 Suk. for those on a budget. They have redecorated the poolside rooms and at 1,300 Bt or so they now represent excellent value for money offering accommodation and facilities typical of a much higher tariff. Don't bother with the other rooms. They are guest friendly too. |

You get off the Skytrain and it's on the opposide side from McDonalds/MBK Plaza. You have to walk up a small road and they are all on your left. There are several hotels on this road one of which is the Star Hotel and it costs 300-600 baht a night depending on if you want a TV / Air con etc. They don't mind guests. No Frills but clean rooms and comfy beds | |
