Its an acquired taste, but you have to live here.
Speaking the language a bit makes a huge difference.
    Probably does in thailand too.
I am an old bugger but girls in all walks of life warm to me and i like it.
    Is that so wrong?

It does'nt have to be the same bar in the same location, just a bar with the same type of "attentive service"

Both Mikado and Sophy are closed.

Last of that infamous trio, La Cyrcee, is still going but tamer. The owner seems to be losing his protectors.

Come on, Phnom Penh is OK. It is a nice change of scenary. The river area has undergone a lot of positive development. Nice museums (Tuol Sleng aside as that place really got to me). And it is a good starting place to explore other places in Cambodia like Sihanoukville and Siem Reap. The people are, in general, nice too. And the food is good.

Phnom Penh's ok. You don't have to go far to find litter and idiots, but they're as easily avoided as found. The town's changing a lot, and a lot of the changes are for the better.

    Hi there!
sorry if the thread is a little old, but It seem's my next move will be in that shithole (Phnom Penh) and I didn't expect it was that really bad...
I wrote down all your bargirls locations, but really, 10$ ST, 20$ LT ????
Isn't that years ago? Maybe now it's far more expensive, does anyone have an experience about it (less than 3 months?).
Anyway, thanks for all advices if you have a good spot in mind!

    The real Cambodia

I am always amused at the negatives spewed about by those among us without any vision nor appreciation for those fine Vietnamese women working to please us in and all over Cambodia. Simply put. The most prime ass in the fucking universe. From Sharkeys, to Martinis, to Shi Beach, it's all good. The only place on earth where an old ugly wanker can stick his tongue in a teeny bopper and get his brains fucked out for $20.

One interesting way to meet Vietnamese women in PP is at the beauty shops,
there's about a dozen in a row near Russian Market..haircut, shampoo, shave,
manicure, pedicure, "ear cleaning"..the works for $7-8, used to be a "Lincoln".
tip a buck or whatever your heart desires...come back to pick her up around
7:30 for dinner and decide on your future journeys in Cambodia or Vietnam?
Been doing it for many years... US Army veteran, I understand their language,
this is my first time to share knowledge here. Aloha!

That's where they often come from.
