Oh that... Yes I get your point but prior to that I was referring to that we should get back to original subject of the thread.... might be much more interesting that this unnecessary blaming you-me-game. And who gives f.cuk about europe anyway these days except when selling short. (oops I hope I didn't get you angry again, not a diplomatic hair day for me I think. Sorry)

You do, obviously, or why post about it on entirely unrelated threads?

Well how about we get back to Cambodia then? That was the original subject why I started following this thread.

OK. Minor thíng of course that many naturally know but for newcomers, if you spend or plan to spend part of your life there and and open bank account with ABA and get international internet banking and international credit card, you won't need to pay USD5 for every ATM transaction like with every other bank, and their ATM's are everywhere (despite what wikipedia says or said "ATM's are very rare in Cambodia").

....Many have prepared for the worst in Thailand and have made arrangements.

Now I expect you to post something about Cambodia, if you have been there.

    Amazing.

    Ok:

Lately, there have been a lot of Westerners moving to Cambodia or making plans to move to Cambodia. This is partly due to the difficult job market in many Western countries, and it’s partly due to Cambodia becoming a more “mainstream” destination for tourists and expatriates. Some of the recent interest in Cambodia has come from Westerners living in Thailand. Rising prices in Thailand and stricter Thai visa regulations have already contributed to a noticeable influx of shifty-eyed, tattooed sexpats creeping across the border into Cambodia. Fortunately, a lot of those dudes haven’t made it past Sihanoukville.

So you could not find more negative, biased article about Cambodia? And provide readers of this forum with some actual information, however minor, that might be useful to someone someday? You have been to Cambodia?

So, you constantly go off-topic, bemoan the thread going off-topic and then complain about on-topic quotes with citation . . .

I appreciate you finding one article, but it happens to be about the most negative article about Cambodia. So I question your motives...

My native tongue? Well, exactly which part did you not understand?

I am not going to ask about your native tongue, since firstly what does it matter, and secondly I am not even remotely interested. But to make it clear I have nothing against hispanics. Or people with Philadelphian accent. Are we done here? I have more urgent things to do on my last day of holidays.

How is that the most negative article? Every country including those deemed desirable to live in has it's positive and negative aspects.

I take some time to reply to you because of respect of some articles you posted, or something.

Yes. I have set up alternative universe for me and my family there if things turn out bad in Thailand - problem being of course the family thing, Thais are not easily willing to leave their country like we farangs do. I have one year business visa, which I can renew at will with no hassle - problem there is actually setting up a company which involves all kinds of stuff, it is easier and faster in Thailand but then it has to be 50% Thai owned.

Just for you, I've flown to PP million times, entered via Koh Kong, Poi Pet, flown to Siem Reap and been to most major places. Enough for you? And I've never seen a pedo in Sihanoukville, but perhaps I move in different circles.

And I am sick of some members on this board thinking everyone in Cambodia is some sort of sick weirdo. You know they think somewhere exactly the same of people living in Thailand. Cambodia has huge problems, but it is getting forwards.

    True.

That article however is biased... was it "7 reasons not to live in Cambodia"

Thank you for responding and I do agree with what you said about preconceived ideas of individuals living in certain countries like everyone moving to Thailand has to or is forced to due to their own economic circumstances. Makes no sence to me.
