The shutdown would not affect Thailand's gas consumption or power production plans, the state-controlled energy firm said in a statement. PTT Exploration and Production (PTTE.BK), a subsidiary of PTT, operates five blocks in Myanmar and is a minority partner in the Yetagun and Yadana gas developments. reuters.com

| Pipe plans: at Yadana 12 February 2010 Work shuts in Yadana flows  Pipe plans: at Yadana Thai producer PTT is set to shut in the Yadana gas field, in Burma, to two weeks next month so it can finish work on a gas pipeline and install equipment. The shut in, which will start in late March, will see Burma's total gas output drop by about 1 billion cubic feet per day. upstreamonline.com |
