So that rounds out our first week of trading, 720$ profit today taking total gains to just shy of 11,000$ for the week.

I have to admit, that I love this thread. Often I think of myself as this Wall Street tycoon making money hand over fist.

*rubbing hands together*

How much money are we going to make next week?

Yeah sure, I'll donate 2000 baht, thats a couple of grand right?

Problem is i want someone else to donate also, lets say 20$, if someone agrees to donate 20$ I will donate 40$ from the proceeds of the live trades that exist behind these play teakdoor trades.
Whose up for it?

I am confused Spin, how do you get 11,000 ? I see that the portfolio is up only by 6,000 since the beginning, hardly changed since the first few days actually

let's see what kind of bias you are using to measure your portfolio

Not much, the three agriculture compaines, MON,MOS, and POT have just finished whats technically known as a "correction" this is a perfectly healthy pull back in pricing to a lower level where they consolidate for a couple of weeks and then begin climbing again. That means that a trading range is entered where the price levels fluctuate a little each day but nothing really exciting happens.
Technical analysis leads me to believe that POT will rise to 260$ per share, MOS could go to 180 and MON could see 150.
FCX, freeport McMoran (copper and gold mining) should hit 125 in the next couple of weeks as soon as the market realises that commodoties priced in dollars dont get cheaper in an economic slowdown because its the value of the dollar that drives the prices, of copper and gold in this instance.
If that comes true we could see profits in the region of 28,000$, none of which is real unfortunatley

Pay attention! I sold the first Solar shares in post 37 for 4100$ profit as it had a great run up so I took the money and ran!

^ Butts knows his shit and i reckon he does better than ok. Oil is a confusing one for sure. For instance can you tell me why Exxon stock is only 10 dollars or so more than it was a year ago even though the price of their main product has doubled?

^Spin how about paying half the imaginary money you lose on this game. If you don't lose, you don't pay. I wonder what DD would think about this? You have to set an end date to this though. It could be costly if you are wrong.

Exxon, along with all the oil majors, face spiralling costs to go with their spiralling prices. Happy days for their employees, subbies, suppliers, sovereign Governments granting licences etc., etc.

As for Butt, my jury is out!

Quick reality check for you, go back to post 37 and look at the 4100$ profit that has already been taken off the table. Now consider that there are stop loss orders in place to protect total profit at 6000$.

So the minimum profit at the end of this excersise is 6000$, there will be no losses!

You didnt really think I would come on here and put myself in a position where i could possibly be shown to lose money, so that everyone and his brother could rip the piss out of me? No chance!

Ok, I see, I never see that mentioned anytime the price of oil goes up though, its always this rocket has been fired in Iran or its the traders to blame, etc etc etc. Maybe I need to read more on the topic

Anyone do Time and Cycles work here? Market Geometry? I trade front month S&P futures mostly. Gotta love the volatility.

It's been an extremely good year for me. 500% better than last year which was a pretty good year. I'm a bear at heart.
