    Where is the gold ?

Soon again time to explore Philippines ground for different metals, i was wondering what the value of th gold today :

It nearly trippled those last 7 years and it is at some high point actually !

Would be good i find this nuggets in April !

Nuggets have a better value even ! if preserved in original state with the impurities stuck on it, collector item...

The data chart is from TheBullionDesk , well informative website for precious metals...

There are gold-mining areas all over the Phils, one is near Baguio in the Cordilleras, it's the traditional trade of the Igorot people. There are guided tours through a formerly US operated mine in Itogon. I know a few people in this area.

In Mindanao there are several large finds, some still unexplored, but I'd keep out of it, it would be very naive to think you could get any kind of foothold in the business.

    Thanks for comment Stroller...

I'm just doing it for the fun ! If i find some nuggets they will go to my shelve at home !

I've got 2 bro in law over there, and i do not advise this business for them, just for the adventure in their area, i will not travel to special places for it, will stay around the northern Phils, Cordillera, Abra...

Just bad that the google earth is not yet clear over this area, best places to go for gold in river beds and there are a few tricks to be more lucky in the research...

I had one Long Tom home, self made in Switzerland and we went a few times up in the Alps to research gold, was interesting, we got some little fine powder of it...

Sounds like an interesting hobby. I'd like to try that oneday. I'm sure there's still a lot out there be it on land or under the sea. I would guess that some places in the Phillipines must be dangerous around the mining areas. Gun ownership is pretty normal out there isn't it? With so many poor money hungry people out there I'd imagine some place to be a bit like the wild west with prices so high.
