Prices of vegetable oik, dairy products, and car battery to rise
    Mon, November 26, 2007

Commerce Ministry would allow vegetable oil, dairy products and car battery manufactures to increase retail prices early next year as they have been hard push by skyrocketing oil prices.

Yanyong Phuangrach, directorgeneral of Internal Trade Department, said yesterday the department will call meeting with dairy products and car battery manufacture to consider their proposals asking for price increase on Friday.

"Those products have faced significant cost increase so that the ministry would allow them to increase retail prices soon," Yanyong said, adding that new price, however, will be launched early next year.- The Nation

^ I somehow suspect auto parts would be the last thing to allow increases, as it might affect the export-competitive large auto industry too much.

I wish it was self inflicted Mid, but its just a bad case of the flu, all the sarcasm I have left is sputtering out of my nose in a constant drip and all joints feel terrible. I hope a couple of more days of rest and a few aspirin will put me back on an even keel.

Yeah, I know it's gotta give, did you see commodity markets exploding today along with the dollar hitting record low against the Euro?

Ever bought a Toyota or a Sony TV in Japan. Clear examples of "market" pricing.
