BANGKOK, 13 September 2018 (NNT) The National Housing Authority (NHA) is cooperating with state-run Krungthai Bank to provide financial aid for both developers and buyers of real estate.

Mr Tachapol Kanjanakul, Governor of the NHA, stated that the loan program under the cooperation with Krungthai Bank will be open to private real estate developers who already have the land and readiness to begin their projects. So far, 30 entrepreneurs have shown interest in the loan scheme.

The NHA Governor also made known that the agency is targeting to launch up to 150 similar projects across the Kingdom, which will require a combined budget of about 10 billion baht.

Meanwhile, Mr Payong Srivanich, President of Krungthai Bank, pointed out that the loan program is aimed at giving real estate developers access to funding for their planned projects, whether they be horizontal and vertical. Applicants who meet the criteria will be selected by the NHA to receive loans for their construction and utility development costs.

Moreover, the President said, once the eligible projects have been completed, buyers will also have a chance to apply for loans with Krungthai Bank.
