...so, if the traveling public isn't put off by sewage-enhanced beaches, endless varieties of scams, balcony suicides, road deaths, enormous immigration stand-stills and overcharging taxis, I wonder if pheromone-poisoning of the unwary is still the main cause of the swamp's success at attracting the unwashed...

You cannot put a price on gullible tourism, unless you are Thai of course.

Then in it will immediately double for any number of contrary reasons.

For everything else, there’s Mastertard, or as the Thai would say, ‘cash will do nicely thank you’.

...folks don't race to these shores looking for rice queens...rice queens flock to the swamp because they've heard it's paradise...until they get a closer look at their pillow companions the next morning...similar, I imagine, to the straight experience with alcohol and pheromones: the most heavily nose-warted troll in the bar looks great in low light through the bottom of a glass...

You must remember though, many of the tourists are coming for the first time or returning multiple times.

They love it because they are unconcerned with issues which seem to plague many of the embittered Ex-Pats.

Thailand is simply a fantastic place to visit.
