    Sansiri plans 13 developments

The developer Sansiri Plc is planning to launch 13 new residential projects in the second half of this year with a total value of 10 billion baht.

President Srettha Thavisin said the projects would cover all segments including condominiums, single houses and townhouse.

Five of them would be upscale condominiums in the central business district and resort areas.

The company would later expand into middle-end single house developments while subsidiaries would focus on middle- to lower-end residential projects including condominiums, townhouses and twin-houses. The subsidiaries are Plus Property, Prompattana Property and Red Lotus Property.

Mr Srettha said the company currently had a pre-sale backlog of almost 20 billion baht. ''During the first half of this year, we've recorded total pre-sales of around 12 billion baht, compared to the earlier target of 15 billion for the whole year.''
Shares of Sansiri (SIRI) closed yesterday on the SET at 3.84 baht, up 10 satang, in trade worth 133.68 million baht.

We bought a condo from them - no complaints whatsoever. Very professional, and the workmanship was good. Considering the current property market, I am not sure I would recommend buying shares in any property developer at the moment, but as a long-term investment in properties, you could probably do a lot worse than betting on SanSiri.
Any error in tact, fact or spelling is purely due to transmissional errors...
