| Thai shares close 0.41 percent lower on Australian alert Thai shares close 0.41 percent lower on Australian alert ![]() Thai share prices closed 0.41 percent lower on Friday after the Australian Embassy in Bangkok urged its citizens to be extra alert amid fears of possible bomb attacks in the capital, dealers said. They said the warning dampened sentiment among foreign investors, who had been jittery since deadly New Year's Eve bombings in Bangkok, which killed three and injured dozens, including foreign tourists. The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) composite index fell 2.85 points to 690.76 while the bluechip SET 50 index declined 1.32 points to 484.43. Agence France-Presse |

| Thailand Travel Forum | SET was down because of the Indonesian ferry fire, or could be the UK train derailment, or whatever reason whoever needs to fill 3 column inches. If truth were a reporting factor, they might have tried instead that it's been testing 700 for the last little while, was not expected to succeed, and is now retracing for the next attempt, simple as that and nothing to do with Australia or their Bkk embassy telling us all what we already know. |
