Cheapest place I could find in Onnut was as above. Broadband needed a workpermit and own phone line put in by Mr dodgy the phone guy.

do we have a building name for this one, i may be working but then maybe not so not sure i would prefer a lan or wifi already set up inside the buildling and rooms as if its not it wud appear a fraction too budget.....anything already set up to include phone lines ubc and internet is obviously modern and up to date...like the place i was in but thats on rama9 and i want to be on bts somewhere but not too far out....i have some agents doing some ground work but they are a little vague on it,

I don't think you're being realistic here. Even crap places without anything more than a hard bed cost 6k in that area.

Not going to happen unless you just happen to know someone who knows someone.

yeah i know a few people who knows someone, but im told there are many ferang places like this in on nut ekamai areas.....in fact my girls ex bf has one at 7k nice tidy clean place...and some agents have also told me that i shudnt have a problem...is it that u guys just are used to the higher standards and thats all u generally go for on ur still western incomes or pensions....most western older guys seem to think from what i can see is that 25000 baht is still a fair price for a basic place in bkk...now we all know thats not the case....why do people settle for a higher priced place when its obvious there are many cheaper ones available......im no expert on bkk but from what i cud tell in 4 months is that there are a lot of places in good place for good price i guess its a matter of finding them...im told there are houses for 3/5k but i want apartment style close to BTS

Are you trolling Paulspad ? Because it wasn't us who defined the higher standards, it was you.... :

And like everyone said, not going to happen. A simple room with a bed and cupboard, yes, certainly, in walking distance (<5min) to BTS.
