Tawandang German Brewery, for a night out.

Won't be anything new to those that have lived here for a while, but those out visiting, or just moved out here there's two of these in BKK, Ramintra and Rama 2. I've also seen a few in provincial cities around Thailand.

German style home brewed beer, nice enough food, and good entertainment. Their website is good in fairness.

I might well consider The Thai to generally be semi-evolved retards, with IQs in the single digit range, but in fairness, when it comes to letting their hair down and having fun they excel.

Probably due to their average mental age being that of a 6-7 year old... anyway, they put on a good show, and The Thai have good fun dancing around and having shameless fun.

A nice litre of Weizen Beer.

    Some of the entertainment.

    Missus' Somtam and fried fish.

My pork knuckle and mashed potato, only 380thb.

A good fun beer drinking contest.

2 of them could really put it away in fairness. Was something like 10 seconds for the winner.... I was waiting for one of them to spew, but alas, it wasn't to be.

That food, 2 pepsi's, ice, and two 1 litre jugs of Weizen beer, and another 0.3L glass of it, was 1700-1800thb.

A nice, simple place to go for some food, beer, and watch The Thai have fun.

    It's a simple, fun place.

My family enjoy it whenever they're over.

^ Agree that it's a great night out if you have family or mates over and it's their 1st/2nd time in Thailand.
If you have been to the Rama 2 on on more than 3 occasions, it feels like Groundhog day.
Same format, same games (down the beer etc etc) and same food (pork knuckle/sauages for the boys and Thai stuff for the girls).
Not trying to knock it too much. Bit too loud for me, but the beer is good and I enjoy the sick sink in the bogs.
    Black diamonds? I shit 'em.

Any where else this food is 30 or 40 baht max. That puts the entertainment at 350 baht.

I go to a friend's birthday party there every year- it's always a great time (the place really lends itself to showing up with a fairly large group).

Did you get a shot of the dedicated vomit sink in the men's room?

Fraid not, I was too preoccupied with avoiding the Thai male toilet assistants.

I'm quite capable of taking a leak, washing my hands, then drying them without the aid and the attention of others.

    ^

Yeah- I always feel obligated to throw 'em something as well (I feel badly for someone stuck in the crapper all night)- I hate having to check my pockets for small change (or having to bum it from people if I only have big bills) before I head off to take a leak.

It can get expensive for my friends after my cork gets popped after several beers- "Damn- I've gotta go again- gimme me another ten baht."
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

    ^ No smoking indoors.

There's a communial smoking area near the bogs where you get a good look of the carpark at the Rama 3 one.

Is the music too loud there?

One restaurant we go to has a sign my husband made me go into the men's toilet to see. It said Please Vomit Here over a very big and deep sink. Must be Thai man drinking more than Thai lady. We do not have that in our toilet.

There's the "Holland Beer" or whatever it is called, next to Central Rama 2 - I've never been but presume it's a similar place.

    Anyone been?

It's loud enough, but not bad in fairness.

The shows put on are well done and entertaining. The audience is involved a lot and there's a massive screen behind the stage with videos of what's happening, the Thais love it and really get into it.

It would get old pretty quickly, but a good experience for those who haven't gone before, or have people over visiting.

The Ram Intra branch used to have a magnificent troop of Chinese Acrobats.

They also opened a Tawandaeng in Singapore, which makes a lot of money.

Had a poster for a Carrabow concert on there, and they do have a lot of different acts come and play.

Something like that, with a 3L tower of beer, then some nosh would be okay. I'm sure the helpful staff are used to rolling people out to their taxis.
